Alumet uses the following procedures to ensure standards on site are upheld at all times:
Alumet have a full time health and safety team who ensure our operations remain safe throughout our factory, offices and sites.
We fully sponsor staff to complete a range of safety courses including fire prevention, manual handling, scaffold erection, fork lift operation, glass handling and working at height.
We invest in reducing the risk to health by providing both personal protective equipment (PPE) and plant and equipment including Vacuumatic Glass Lifting Equipment, floor cranes, motorised pallet trucks and hand tools fitted with dust extraction methods.
We ensure our staff remain healthy in the workplace and carry out regular health screening tests including audiometry, dermatitis and lung function testing.
Alumet HSE Team regularly carry out site audits and attend safety coordination meetings to assist the site team in ensuring excellent health and safety performance on site.
Alumet ensure all or sites have a trained and experienced full time site management team who work to ensure we build quality on time in a safe manner. Alumet ensure all operatives are fully inducted and all plant and equipment have the necessary certification and daily and weekly inspections. This paperwork is collated weekly in our Friday Packs.
Alumet use Field View to manage and record progress during installation for quality assurance purposes.
Alumet provide comprehensive RAMS prior to commencement on site, these are compiled by the Project Manager in collaboration with Installers and the HSE Department. RAMS are then written or amended throughout the Project as work progresses. They are reviewed by the HSE team during site audits.
